Definitions & Terms Used
“Customer” means a customer who has been issued with a Gift Voucher by either the Promoter or Purchaser pursuant to the Program and is the specified holder of the Gift Voucher.
“Gift Voucher” means an electronic voucher or certificate featuring a stored dollar value or value-add package or experience (Gift Dollars) issued to the Customer by the Promoter.
“Program” means the Honeysuckle Inn Gift Card and Voucher Program, as governed by these Terms and Conditions.
“Program Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services” means principally hotel accommodation and meals and/or bar expenses (if applicable) plus ancillary services and packages provided by the Honeysuckle Inn ,in the Program which Customers may redeem using their Gift Dollars.
“Promoter” means Honeysuckle Inn in its capacity as manager of the Program
“Purchaser” means a customer that orders and purchases a Gift Voucher from the Promoter pursuant to the Program on behalf of a Customer.
Use of Gift Voucher at Honeysuckle Inn
Gift Cards and Vouchers are used primarily to redeem accommodation.
Accommodation reservations require a valid credit card to confirm the reservation. Upon check-in at the Honeysuckle Inn ,the Customer should present the original Gift Voucher and inform staff if they wish to redeem the Gift Dollars in exchange for Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services. Upon check-out, the Customer’s credit card will not be used to pay the final account if the Customer uses the Gift Dollars stored on their Gift Voucher.
Copies of Gift Vouchers will not be accepted Gift Vouchers will be deemed void if altered in any way Honeysuckle Inn may refuse to accept a damaged Gift Voucher or if it considers on reasonable grounds that the voucher has been altered, stolen, defaced or is being used in a criminal or fraudulent manner.
Gift Vouchers and associated Gift Dollars, Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services bought with them, are not redeemable for cash or credit card transactions, hotel line of credit nor hotel accounts.
Gift Vouchers cannot be replaced if lost or stolen and should be treated with the same care and security as cash.
The gift voucher remains the property of the Promoter.
If there are sufficient Gift Dollars on a Customer’s Gift Voucher to redeem the selected Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services in full, the Gift Dollars cannot be used in conjunction with part-cash payments. If there are insufficient Gift Dollars on the Customer’s voucher to redeem the selected Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services in full, then the balance may be settled by the Customer with a cash or credit card payment.
Gift Dollars can be used to redeem Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services including meals, bar tabs, room service and other services that can be charged to a guest account folio at the honeysuckle Inn. Any other travel costs and expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Gift Vouchers may not be “topped up” with additional Gift Dollars to those already pre-loaded onto the Gift Voucher at the point of issue. Additional Gift Dollars will require the purchase of a new Gift Voucher and associated Gift Dollars, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. A Customer can redeem Gift Dollars in exchange for Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Experiences and Services from multiple (two or more) Gift Vouchers at the same time.
Reservations at the Honeysuckle Inn remain subject to availability at the time of booking and are subject to the applicable Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions .
Customers can cancel a reservation, however they must do so by contacting the Honeysuckle Inn directly and advising them of the cancellation. Customers should check the relevant cancellation policy for the Honeysuckle Inn, as referred to in the booking confirmation email sent to the Customer.
No Re-Sale or Promotional Use
Gift Vouchers may not be re-sold, on-supplied or transferred for commercial, consumer or promotional purposes, bundled with other goods and services or used for promotional purposes without the Promoter’s prior written consent.
Purchase & Payment of Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers
Purchase of physical Gift Vouchers can be conducted at the front desk Honeysuckle Inn. Gift Vouchers can be purchased at admin@honeysuckleinn.com.au . Online orders must be purchased using a valid credit card.
Gift Vouchers are distributed when full payment (of the amount equating to the number of Gift Dollars pre-loaded on the voucher, in each case) is received by the Promoter (including any service, transaction fees or postage charges) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Refunds and exchanges are not available if you simply change your mind after full payment is received.
Currently accepted credit cards for payment of Gift Cards include Visa & MasterCard.
All prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Any other taxes, charges, fees or duties that are, or may be levied on such prices or Program Accommodation, Experiences and Food & Beverage or Services must be paid for by the Purchaser unless otherwise stated.
Expiry Date of Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers
The expiry date for:
(a) physical Gift Vouchers is specified on the actual Gift Voucher; and
(b) digital Gift Vouchers is specified on the product terms and on the email confirmation sent to the Purchaser,
“Validity Period”.
If the Customer does not fully redeem all of the Gift Dollars on a Gift Voucher for Accommodation, Experiences and Food & Beverage or Services within the Validity Period, they may apply for an extension of the Validity Period by making a written application to the Promoter at admin@honeysuckleinn.com.au no later than 1 month prior to the expiry of the Validity Period as indicated upon the Gift Card or Gift Voucher.
Applications for an extension must clearly contain the following information:
1. the reasons why the extension to the Gift Voucher Validity Period is being requested;
2. the identification number of the Gift Voucher; and
3. the expiry date of the Gift Voucher.
The Promoter will consider each application for an extension to the Validity Period based on the facts and circumstances involved and will advise the Customer whether the extension is granted or declined.
If an extension to the Validity Period is granted by the Promoter, it remains the Customer’s duty to arrange with the Promoter the return of the Gift Card to the Promoter by contacting admin@honeysuckleinn.com.au The Promoter will then arrange for a new Gift Voucher to be issued in replacement of the old one (with remaining balance of the Gift Dollars on the old card or voucher transferred to the new Gift Card or Gift Voucher) and the extended Validity Period will be recorded on the new Gift Card or Gift Voucher.
Stolen or Lost Cards
In the event of a Gift Voucher being lost or stolen, a Customer is not entitled to a cash refund of any unused “Gift Dollars’. The Customer should contact the Promoter at admin@honeysuckleinn.com.au directly.
The Promoter will not accept any responsibility for stolen, lost, damaged or wilfully defaced Gift Vouchers or for any unauthorised or fraudulent use thereof.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law (and without limiting the Australian and New Zealand Consumer Law or Consumer Guarantees) each party:
a) excludes all warranties;
b) excludes liability for any indirect or consequential loss or damage including loss of profits and loss of revenue; and
c) limits their liability to any one or more of the following:
i. in relation to goods, replacing or repairing the goods or supplying an equivalent item, or paying the costs or replacing, repairing or hiring an equivalent item; or
ii. in relation to services, the re-supply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services re-supplied.
Acceptance of Terms
The submission or receipt of an order is deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Amendment
The Promoter may amend these Terms from time to time and you agree to be bound by that variation from when it appears on this Site for any purchases of Gift Vouchers made after the relevant amendment.
Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are subject to the specific Honeysuckle Inn Booking Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws in the country where the Gift Vouchers are purchased.
